Today's 4p show is sold out, 5 more remain

Today's 4pm performance is now SOLD OUT and we only have 5 more remaining on the run of Steve Martin's hilarious, thoughtful Picasso at the Lapin Agile.

We have enjoyed an amazing run up to this point. The show has had 10 of 12 performances up to now go completely sold out, has drawn positive reviews from both patrons and the press and is poised to close in the top 5 highest-grossing and best-attended plays in Jobsite history.

All this right after the holidays, amidst NFL playoffs/the beginning of Gasparilla season and in what's agreed upon by everyone as a really crap economy.

People are coming out in force - and they are having a great time. We're getting feedback daily from happy, satisfied customers.

“Sandy and I purchased tickets for the Sunday afternoon show and we loved it. Best theater experience I've had in a couple years.” – Brendan McLaughlin

"The cast was terrific, and the whole show was a lot of fun. We feel very fortunate to have such talent – cast, as well as behind-the-scenes people – right here at home.” – Mariella Smith

“We saw the show ... and I thought it was very funny, surreal and off the wall ...” – Beth Hood

“... We thoroughly enjoyed it ... I tell the folks I work with all the time to go catch your plays ... Great job! I can't wait for the next show!” – Richard Rosengren

“... thoroughly fun and entertaining ... Keep up the good work and ignore some of the misdirected comments by critics that should be writing on the sports pages or at the very least working at the zoo cleaning out the monkey cages.” – Sam and Grace Puterman

“Just wanted to drop you a line and say how much my husband and I enjoy our season tickets.... We attended [Picasso at the Lapin Agile] and found it both thought provoking and funny.” – John and Lori Pate

“The play is inventive, amusing and passably thought-provoking ... Highlights of the Jobsite production are a large and mostly excellent cast, led by Jason Vaughan Evans and Chris Holcom as Einstein and Picasso, a wonderful set by Brian Smallheer and a lot of attractive and evocative costumes....” – St. Petersburg Times

“In the fine, entertaining production now being offered by Jobsite Theater, author Steve Martin's charming comedy is skillfully presented, and the (fanciful) meeting of Pablo Picasso and Albert Einstein is rendered like a beguiling joke told over brandy by a kindly raconteur ... Jobsite Theater has been turning into the most consistent, most dependable company in the Bay area ... I can hardly wait to see what this formidable troupe will do next.” – Creative Loafing

We couldn't be more thrilled. I don't think 2009 could be starting much better for us.

This coming week is our final 5 performances which all still have great availability for tickets. Wed. - Sat. at pm and Sat. late night at 10pm.

If you are hoping to go, particularly to the Fri. or Sat. 8p show, we advise you might want to try to get your tickets early. If history holds up, those shows will be gone before curtain. If you need to pay at the door or take advantage of student/military/senior rush - Wed. or Thu. would be IDEAL opportunities.

Have you already seen the show? Could you give us a hand in helping us fill this added weekend by passing us on to your friends and networks? Word of mouth is always our best sales tool. Blog us, tweet us, talk us up in the break room, pass on an email, post a link to a show page - as simple or as complex as you want it to be.

If you're able to do anything like that and pass a note back to us with the details, we might even have a special gift for you (no, we are no above bribing you all).

As always, thanks for all you do for Jobsite. We exist because of your kindness, your support and your belief in what we do.

Best,
David M. Jenkins
